The Peoples Democratic Party shut its case at the Delta State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal, sitting in Asaba, on Friday without calling a solitary witness.
The PDP is the second litigant for the situation before the tribunal, in which the state's governorship hopeful of the All Progressives Congress, Olorogun O'tega Emerhor, and the APC have tested the presentation of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of the PDP as the victor of the April 11 survey in the state.
The Justice Nasiru Gunmi-drove tribunal had dismissed on Wednesday to permit the PDP begins its protection on Friday (today) by calling its witnesses, having recorded more than 50 witness articulations on promise.
Okowa, who is the first respondent for the situation, had on Wednesday shut his resistance in the wake of getting three witnesses out of 20, who were at first slated to affirm before the three-man board.
At the continued sitting of the tribunal on Friday, PDP's advice, Chief Timothy Kehinde (SAN), declared that he would never again be approaching any of the planned 50 witnesses.
Kehinde clarified that he would depend on the witnesses' affirmations effectively called by the first respondent and his prior round of questioning of the solicitors' witnesses.
He included that the gathering had shut its resistance at the tribunal.
Equity Gunmi coordinated the Independent National Electoral Commission, which is the third journalist for the situation, to start its barrier.
INEC's advice, in any case, begged the tribunal to be permitted to open its protection one week from now to permit the commission adequate time to get ready and call its witnesses.
The tribunal dismissed hearing in the appeal to Tuesday.
