The police in Lagos have captured the child of a resigned Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and one other individual for purportedly vandalizing and taking sewer vent covers.

The Lagos State Police Rapid Respond Squad (RRS) Commander, ACP Olatunji Disu, put forth the revelation in an announcement on Wednesday in Lagos.

The announcement said that the ex-cop's child was released from the Nigeria Police before he took to wrongdoing.

It said the released policeman, one Earnest Young, 30, and his associate, Rasheed Tiamiyu (20), were captured on Eko Bridge around 10 p.m. on Tuesday.

"They were captured possessing sewer vent spreads vandalized and stolen on Eko Bridge.

"'The suspects asserted they saw the sewer vent covers and wanted to offer to truck pushers.

"They additionally asserted that them two rest and work as burden bearers at Ijora Motor Park,'' the announcement said.
