Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, has communicated trouble over the passing of eight All Progressives Congress supporters and a conductor in a car accident on the Ezzamgbo segment of the Abakaliki-Enugu parkway.
The accident happened when the driver of a Toyota Sienna passing on the APC supporters lost control and slammed into a truck going to Abakaliki.
The gathering supporters were said to be going to Enugu to join the followers of the Labor Party contender for the last governorship race in Ebonyi State, Edward Nkwegu, who had massed at the Court of Appeal anticipating the decision on Nkwegu's allure.
In an announcement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Emma Anya, on Saturday, Umahi said it was "grievous that the casualties who were providers of their families lost their lives while going to witness a practically futile offer," by Nkwegu.
